Structure

A Principal assisted by a team of subject Department Heads, Year Heads, Class Teachers, Subject Teachers and Committees, heads the department. Each subject forms a separate department and its respective Department Heads monitor the academic activities related to the subject.

Grades  

As the largest  Higher Secondary School, Yangchenphug, presently has four grades ranging from 9 to 12. Class 9 has 9 sections, with 10 sections of class 10, 10 sections of class 11 (4 sections of Science, 5 sections of Commerce and 1 section of Arts)and 9 sections of class 12 (5 sections of Science, 4 sections of Commerce

Promotion Policy

Class IX 1. The student needs to get minimum pass marks of 35% in English and four other subjects. 2. A student can fail in one subject other then English. 3. A candidate who has qualified for promotion to class X but failed in Dzongkha only has to reappear the written examination in Dzongkha in the beginning of the next academic session. 4. The minimum S.U.P.W. grade must be ‘C’.

Class XI          1.     The student Should  obtain a minimum of pass mark of 40% in English and three other subjects.          2.     If failed in Dzongkha, must sit for retest in the beginning of the next academic session.

 

Professional Development Program

Policy Update the knowledge and skill of teachers through mutual interaction and dissipation of   ideas among the faculty. Enhance the learning environment through the contribution of parents/guests/other teachers and students.
