Co-curricular Department

Co-curricular Department of YANGCHENPHUG provides a wide variety of activities, to add an extra dimension to its academic programme. The range of activities offered by the department ensures that opportunities are given to every pupil to take part in individual as well as team events,  (House/ class) to have success in their pursuits.  

Opportunities are given in the form of activities like Literary, Cultural, Games & Sports, Club activities, and SUPW. Activities are carried out by the club in-charges (Coordinators & Members) and among the clubs; the most popular ones are scouting, nature and handicrafts.

A team represents the school in most games and sports, cultural, and also literary competitions. Students represent the country in disciplines like athletics, Table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis and Taekwondo.  

Students are encouraged to take part in competitions to enable better selection so that they are trained for further competitions at regional, national and international levels.  

The Department presently in headed by the vice-principal and consists of committees for each activity with a Co-coordinator, a Dy. Co-coordinator and the committee members.

Vision:  To promote personal, social, spiritual and physical excellence for whole some development of the students.

To achieve our vision we have the following objectives.

1. To provide ample opportunities to every student to explore innate talents and develop further.

2. To inculcate physical skills, confidence co-operation, team spirit and instill the quality of appreciation.

3. To appreciate and to preserve our rich traditional and cultural heritage.
