SUPW Committee

SUPW is the abbreviation of socially useful and productive work that is compulsory for all students to achieve grade D and above. SUPW grades show a great deal about the attitude of the student towards work and labour.

Objective

  • To keep school campus and its surroundings clean.

  • To help the community around through various useful works like, helping children in pediatric ward, clean the religious monuments, clean public places, etc.

  • To meet the requirement of the Board, i.e., achieve minimum grade and above.

  • Prepare students towards the job market with a positive attitude towards work.

 Policy

  • Involve every student in productive work.

  • Develop a sense of belongingness, encourage dignity of labour and improve the environment where we live.

Strategy

  • Divide the area of the school and allocate to various classes keeping class teachers as the in charge.

  • Look for areas where help is necessary in the community and execute it through interested group of students.

  • Monitor the SUPW work and area with the various in charges.

  • Collect the SUPW grades through the class teachers who award it in scale of A to E.

  • Award grades to those students and smaller groups involved in the community outside the school according to the feedback received from that community.

Coordination

SUPW  for Yangchenphug is coordinated by Mr. Prem Khatiwara and Mrs. Rinzin Wangmo.
