YHSS Alumni

Who can become a Member? 

1. TOSA-OY is a alumni Association of YHS founded in 1989 by former students of Thimphu Public/Yangchenphug Central/High School.

2. TOSA-OY members aspire to perpetuate Yangchenphug comradeship through organization of various activities for and in the School.

3. TOSA-OY membership is open to all former boys and girls of Yangchenphug students.

4. TOSA-OY offers two types of memberships:

   a) Full membership of TOSA-OY for YHS alumni.
   b) Intern membership of TOSA-OY for alumni of YHS who are  continuing their education and not yet gainfully employed.

How much does it cost to be a Member? 

1. Membership is confirmed upon payment of registration fee of Nu. 500/-.

2. A full member of TOSA-OY shall pay a regular membership fee of Nu. 100/- per month, regularly at the end of each month till it reaches a total of Nu.10,000.00.

3. A member shall pay Nu.50.00 per month till the total reaches Nu. 5000.00 and Nu.25.00 per month thereafter till it reaches to Nu. 2500.00 and thereafter a member shall become a life member without payment.

4. An Intern member shall pay the registration fee of Nu.500.00

5. An Intern member shall not be required to pay the monthly fee until being employed.

6. An Intern shall as registered alumni member enjoy all rights and privileges of TOSA-OY.

7. Membership fee may be paid by either in cash or cross cheque at the time of General Meetings in the month of  January and July. 

What does TOSA-OY do? 

1. The management of TOSA-OY shall be governed by general Body and Executive Committee.

2. General meetings of TOSA-OY plan and approve TOSA-OY activities

3. TOSA-OY Sponsor/promote activities/prizes for the school.

4. TOSA-OY Participates in activities of YHS.

5. TOSA-OY Participates in national events and plans to observe the golden jubilee of YHS and the centenary of Wangchuck Dynasty. 

What are the benefits of being a member of TOSA-OY? 

1. It is the duty of every member of TOSA-OY to report matters related to a member’s misfortune or occasion for celebration to the any of the members of Executive Committee.

2. TOSA-OY provides certain amount of cash as semso & boongthui to help the members in terms of death.
